The purpose of this course is to introduce students to various literary topics and methodologies in global literature. Focusing on materials from an array of historical and cultural contexts, it will address the intersections between culture, language, oral traditions, and literatures in a global perspective. Students will examine select texts about globalization. Required reading will help students develop critical reading, thinking and writing skills that they will be expected to demonstrate during class discussions and in essays.

This course aims to improve their understanding and interest in the clash of cultures. While focusing on how various culture clashes constituted the world we know, it aims to improve students’ global awareness.

The objective in this course is to provide basic knowledge on various aspects of Japan, including history, politics, economy etc essential to understanding contemporary Japanese society.

Introducing Japanese letters, basic grammars and written structures for beginners.

Based on the knowledge from the beginner’s class, basic grammars with emphasis on correct pronunciation and structure.

We are trying to improve the quality of communication contents and practical vocabulary ability by coming in contact with new contents, such as politics, economy, social culture and so on.
